This is a really classy,
up-headed and stylish late December heifer.
Yes, she was calved very late in December but
then so was the 701 heifer that we sold last spring and that eventually
won San Antonio this year for Hannah Callaway. Those fall classes are
usually small in our Braford shows. She is thick from end to end and is
especially long necked and extended through her front end. She is polled,
extremely clean up front and in her underline, and she has a lot of
chrome -
she is a real eye catcher.
809's dam is a very good 2-year-old and this calf is plenty big for her age. Get her on
feed and she should belly down and explode growth wise. We only got two
heifer calves sired by the 629 bull before he
sold to Bubbie Dupont. They are both very good and we wish we
had more. Her sire, a paternal half brother to the Jo Dee heifer, had the best ultrasound numbers
of the bulls in our 2007 sale.
